I like to ride my bike a lot, maybe you´ve noticed that from my opening picture, but I would not be comfortable with riding among many autonomous vehicles... I feel more confident with other people and their mistakes than with trying to learn the way AI would react in the streets.

How do you fell?

Hello

I personally feel better when I can look to the eyes of the other drivers and communicate using minimal visual gestures whith them. Sometimes I can understand the driver´s attitude, or negotiate whou is passing first, just with some signs with the hand or face. How to do this with autonomous vehicles? at least I would like to know that it has seen me, and wether it will stop or continue, or let me pass first.

Full autonomous traffic will threaten pedestrians, cyclists, and users of alternative transportation (scooters and others).

Options: Everybody using awearable system able to communicate with the others during traffic flow.

I agree 100%, i like driving my car aswell. For me, it would not be easy to share the streets with autonomous cars, i would always be a bit scared of what the car will do. Maybe it would be a solution, that everyone uses autonomous driving but i dont see this kind of solution and i also wouldn´t like it.

@hectorgerardo

I think your point of threatening pedestrians and other participants of traffic is a very valid point. Here we must also focus on the ethics of the whole concept of autonomous driving. How does the car react when an accident is unavoidable? Who is the car responsible for? Only its owner or every other participant of traffic aswell?

I think this point will lead to very detailed and important discussions in the future.

These are very difficult questions to answer, maybe one of you has an idea how to approach it.

I think autonomous vehicles could prevent a lot of accidents only not yet at the current level of technology. During my internship at the AUDI AG, I´ve learned that there are lots of legal and ethical open questions and that fully autonomous vehicles are not relevant unless at least 95% of the vehicles on the streets are autonomous. So I think in the next years we should be safe by cycling on the streets.

I feel that autonomous vehicles have been a trend and nowadays they contain many aids when one of the lanes or others goes off the track, however, it must be considered that there are still faults that can be improved. This is the future yes or yes
